Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has appointed a Kansas City lawyer to the Missouri Development Finance Board.
Matthew Dameron, a partner with Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP, was appointed for a term that lasts until Sept. 14, 2015, according to a late Tuesday release from Nixon’s office.
The board oversees an array of financing programs for Missouri businesses, local governments and state agencies. It issues taxable or tax-exempt industrial revenue bonds or notes, and it provides market-rate or low-interest loans and grants to political subdivisions to pay for public infrastructure improvements, the release said.
According to a biography on Stueve Siegel’s website, Dameron returned to the law firm in January after a period working as chief of staff for Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster. He works in Stueve Siegel’s public client, commercial litigation and securities practices.
