"My time as a citizen at MBS taught me so much more than politics or governmental process. I learned that one person can make a difference, provided that one person actually participates in the process. I learned that I do have it in me to make a difference."
The most important thing that you can do to prepare yourself for attending Missouri Boys State is to attend an orientation meeting. These meeting are presented by MBS staff volunteers and Legion members. We have designed these meetings to be very informative and provide a comprehensive overview of the program.
It is very important that you and your parents/guardians attend one of these meetings as we will be handing out a packet of documents and materials that you will need prior to and during the week of Missouri Boys State.
This will be time for you and your parents to ask questions and meet fellow delegates from your area.
These meetings are very important and we ask you attend at least one meeting held in your district. If for some reason you cannot attend a meeting, please contact headquarters.
Did you know...
As a MBS Applicant, you are required to attend one of the scheduled orientation meetings.
There is no pre-registration or requirement you attend the one closest to your hometown - you may attend any meeting.
If the applicant is unable to attend, a parent may attend in his place. However, we highly recommend each applicant be in attendance.
