"The experience is head-spinning at first, then invigorating for the week. The lessons I took home included establishing a stronger work ethic, collaboration, negotiation, discipline, and making friendships beyond one's comfort zone. The lessons stick from senior year in high school through college, one's personal life and a professional career!"

Orientation Meetings

"Preparation is the key to success"

The most important thing that you can do to prepare yourself for attending Missouri Boys State is to attend a virtual orientation meeting. Orientations are presented by MBS staff volunteers and are designed to be very informative and to help prepare you for your Boys State experience.

We’ll provide a comprehensive overview of the program and review required forms, what to pack, registration times, scholarship opportunities, and much more along with answering your questions. We’ll also go over the documents in the packet of information mailed to you on May 11. So, watch your mail and have your packet nearby if received before the orientation.

It is required that you attend one of these orientations. Your parents/guardians are encouraged to attend too. If for some reason you cannot attend a meeting, please contact the MBS Headquarters immediately.

Note: You may attend any orientation meeting, but you only need to attend one. You will also need your MBS Citizen ID# that was provided in an email.

Date Time Location

Did you know...
As a MBS Applicant, you are required to attend one of the scheduled orientation meetings.

If the applicant is unable to attend, a parent may attend in his place. However, we highly recommend each applicant be in attendance.
