Following Opening Night Ceremonies of the 64th
session of Missouri Boys State, U.S. Representative Kenny Hulshof
from Missouri’s 9th District will deliver the keynote address
to the Boys State general assembly. Congressman Hulshof will discuss
the hot topics in Congress and his work on various legislation effecting
Missourians. Following his prepared remarks Congressman Hulshof
will hold a question and answer session. |

MISSOURI
GOVERNOR BOB HOLDEN
Sunday, June 15, 2003 (Evening Assembly)
Missouri Governor Bob Holden will deliver the keynote
address at the special assembly in Hendricks Hall on Sunday evening.
Governor Holden, a long time member of the Boys State staff, will
discuss his experiences at Missouri Boys State and the many issues
arising from the latest legislative session in Jefferson City. The
Governor will hold a question and answer session following his address. |

KANSAS
CITY CHIEFS FULLBACK TONY RICHARDSON
Monday, June 16, 2003 (Afternoon Assembly)
Kansas City Chiefs Fullback Tony Richardson will
address Boys State participants at a special assembly on Monday
afternoon in Hendricks Hall. Mr. Richardson will discuss his life
experience in football and what it’s like to play in the NFL.
Following his address, Mr. Richardson will hold a question and answer
session. |

ATTORNEY GENERAL JAY NIXON
Monday, June 16, 2003 (Evening Assembly)
Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon will deliver
the keynote address at a special assembly on Monday evening in Hendricks
Hall. Attorney General Nixon is an outstanding supporter of the
Boys State program and will be making his 10th appearance at Missouri
Boys State in 2003. He will hold a question and answer session following
his prepared remarks. |

PULITZER
PRIZE WINNING POLITICAL CARTOONIST MIKE PETERS
Tuesday, June 17, 2003 (Evening Assembly)
The 15th Annual George W. Lehr Memorial Speakers
Chair will be Mike Peters, Political Cartoonist, Pulitzer Prize
Winner and creator of the syndicated comic “Mother Goose and
Grimm”. Mr. Peters will deliver the keynote address on Tuesday
evening. Following his keynote address the Senator will hold a brief
question and answer session. |

SECRETARY OF STATE MATT BLUNT
Thursday, June 19, 2003 (Afternoon Assembly)
Missouri Secretary of State Matt Blunt will announce
and certify the statewide election results and address the citizens
at the Boys State general assembly in the CMSU Multipurpose Building.
Secretary of State Blunt will also take part in the Boys State group
photo session at the Multipurpose Building. |

JUSTICE OF THE MISSOURI SUPREME COURT STEPHEN LIMBAUGH
Thursday, June 19, 2003 (Evening Assembly)
Chief Justice Stephen Limbaugh will deliver the
keynote address and swear-in the newly elected state officials at
the Joint Session of the Boys State House and Senate on Thursday
evening at Hendricks Hall. |

DOUG RAABERG, 509th WING COMMANDER, WHITEMAN AFB
Friday, June 20, 2003 (Evening Assembly)
Colonel Doug Raaberg, USAF is the 509th Wing Commander
at Whiteman AFB, MO. Whiteman AFB is the home of the B-2 Stealth
Bomber. The B-2 has played an important role in Operation Iraqi
Freedom as well as the War in Bosnia and the Gulf War. Colonel Raaberg
will provide a briefing on the latest activity at Whiteman AFB at
the Boys State General Assembly in Hendricks Hall. Colonel Raaberg
will hold a question and answer session following his remarks. |

DEMOCRACY
IN ACTION AND FINAL AWARDS CEREMONY
Saturday, June 21, 2003 (Morning Event)
All phases of Boys State government will be functioning
for parents, teachers and other visitors. The announcement of the
winners of various competitions and awards presentations immediately
follow Democracy in Action. |
